quote

The surest path to positive self esteem is to succeed at something which one perceived would be difficult. Each time we steal a student's struggle, we steal the opportunity for them to build self-confidence.  They must learn to do hard things to feel good about themselves.

–  Sylvia Rimm

PERSONAL

What is Personal Academics? I needed a word that covered health, nutrition, puberty, faith, religion, parenting, pyschology, fair play, family responsibility, chores, and coping with an annoying sibling.  With a special place for helping my children process the bombardment of data, images, and sounds that they must process faster and with a more mature discretion than ever in history before. (That is assuming *I've* figured out how to process it all!).
